Alessandra’s paintings represent a fascinating naturalistic investigation revolving around the life course of Blue Algae, the monotropa plant and birch moths. Blue-green Algae played a key role in the origin of life by generating oxygen, a valuable element for the survival of later life forms.
The small Monotropa plant has lost the ability to carry out photosynthesis, but it compensates for this lack by creating endless connections, symbolizing the power of the network of relationships that permeates our natural world.
Birch Moths, on the other hand, undergo mutations in response to the harmful actions of humans, demonstrating the direct impact of human activity on the surrounding nature.
The common act is immersion in the atmosphere, the intangible substance that makes Earth habitable, the mixed space in which everything amalgamates.
