Would you like to treat yourself to an afternoon of creativity, exploring oil painting in a welcoming and inspiring environment?
In this workshop, we’ll combine observation of the plant world with painting practice, bringing to life on canvas a natural subject that represents you.

You will be guided step by step in creating a personal artwork inspired by a plant that holds meaning for you.
You’re welcome to bring a live plant or a photo of one, but a selection of botanical varieties will also be available at the gallery for inspiration.

A Painted Herbarium
Since ancient times, herbariums have beautifully blended science and poetry.
This workshop invites you to reinterpret your own “herbarium page” through painting, allowing a personal and creative connection with nature to emerge.

Course Program:

• Introduction to the history of herbariums and a look at artistic examples

• Exercises to sharpen your gaze and deeply observe the botanical subject

• Basic Oil Painting Techniques and Use of Materials

• Creation of your own canvas with technical and creative guidance

All materials will be provided, but you are welcome to bring your own brushes or paints if you wish.

Instructor: Alessandra La Marca
An artist selected by Art Studio Finestreria, featured in the solo exhibition “Botanica Interiore” (2023) and the group show Tuttigatti (2024). Her deep sensitivity to the plant world and her gentle approach to painting make her the ideal guide for this creative journey.

Important Detail

The workshop takes place inside an art gallery, surrounded by paintings and delicate artworks.
For this reason, we kindly ask children to follow just one simple rule:
be very careful and do not touch the artworks on display.

In return, we promise two hours of fun, imagination, and painting!
We’ll be waiting for you with hands full of creativity!
