Created specifically for the TUTTIGATTI exhibition, Saverio Tonoli’s work fits within the trajectory of an intense and experimental pictorial practice, already recognised in institutional contexts such as the exhibition Pittura italiana oggi at the Triennale di Milano (2023).

In Schrödinger’s Cat, the artist literally immerses the paper in colour, allowing the material itself to reveal the image. Only afterwards is the paper mounted on canvas, fixing the elusive form of the feline.
The result is a work suspended between presence and absence, perfectly aligned with the quantum paradox evoked by its title.

A cat that may be there — or may not. Yet it inhabits the painting with the enigmatic force of the invisible.
