Portfolio Review Afternoon: book your artistic or photographic portfolio review in Milan!

Write to us and plan your meeting: together, we will review your artistic or photographic portfolio at our gallery in Milan. Appointments can also be arranged at other times upon request.

Strengths and weaknesses? What should a portfolio look like?
We can review your portfolio from the perspective of presentation, graphic layout, and formal aesthetic balance, while also offering useful advice on how to continue developing your artistic research.
The meeting is suitable for everyone: for those who need to start from scratch and understand how to create a portfolio, as well as for those who already have a structured portfolio and wish to understand how to improve their presentation.

To analyse your work, your story will be enough, together with any material you already have. We will help you organise it and understand what can be done to further develop your research.

The portfolio is every artist’s calling card. Especially when applying for open calls, residencies, or collaborations with galleries, a well-structured presentation is essential, regardless of the techniques or expressive media used, whether painting, photography, video, engraving, installation, or performance.

A dialogue with experts from the art world enriches the personal research developed by each artist. Meeting colleagues and professionals in the field may lead to collaborations, exhibitions, or other professional opportunities.
For paintings and other works, we recommend bringing the original pieces, or photographs with well-balanced colours, as well as test prints. It is important to observe the work in its real form in order to fully understand its true strength.

The artistic or photographic portfolio review is mainly held behind closed doors, as we prefer to create a more intimate setting for those present.

It will be reviewed in advance and in detail by Claudia Ponzi, gallerist at Art Gallery Finestreria. Depending on each individual artistic research, the gallery will select an expert artist collaborator in the field, who will review the project and offer their experience, providing useful advice to the participant.
